Dates: June 24th - 28th, 2019

Through inquiry, conversation, and experimentation, workshops guide singers in the focal points, technique, and expression of the singing voice. Individual attention is placed on singer-defined goals and teacher-defined technical needs. Vocal masterclasses bring vocal coach, singer, and pianist together, offering singers an opportunity to hone their craft by participating in and observing live coachings, strengthening their performance and collaborative skills.

Singers learn from the group setting, as students of various ages and levels of experience work alongside each other. Enhancing our vocal technique and coaching, workshops will include light yoga and meditation, recital prep, and special emphasis on analysis of our poetry and lyrics. 

Workshops culminate in a recital for participants, friends, and family!

Students should arrive with 2 memorized songs from their private lessons, their sheet music (3 copies/song), a pencil, water, and comfortable clothes.

SPECIAL: Wednesday June 26th will include a field trip to Butterfly Beach and attendance to a vocal masterclass at the Music Academy of the West Summer Festival!

Prerequisite: concurrent enrollment in vocal lessons at Wildwood or privately.
