Books & Materials

  •  All students are required to have their binders, books, and assignments at every lesson. Time and progress are lost when students arrive to lessons without their materials.

  • All students are required to use a 3-ring binder with dividers for all loose sheet music and papers.

  •  Though some sheet music will be supplied for free from Wildwood’s library, students are responsible for purchasing any additional sheet music and/or books for songs they'd like to sing or songs that they're asked to bring.

  • Your teacher may ask for additional materials to be brought to class.

Recitals and Masterclasses

  • Recitals are a supportive, learning environment welcoming students, friends, and parents. They offer a learning experience all their own.

  • Attendance at and performance in all rehearsals and recitals are an important part of lessons, and are therefore mandatory.

  • Masterclasses / workshops occur 1-2x/semester. While not mandatory, participation is strongly encouraged for performance skill-building.

Payment

First / Assessment Lessons

  • Wildwood does not offer free or discounted assessment lessons, but a first lesson may be purchased individually.

  • To hold your time slot, payment is due when you and your teacher confirm a lesson day/time. If payment for your assessment lesson is not received at least 48hrs before your lesson, your lesson will be forfeited and your teacher is under no obligation to be present. Individually purchased first lessons will not be rescheduled or refunded. Be sure to check below for more information on cancellations, no-shows, rescheduling, and refunds.

  • If you wish to continue lessons beginning the following week, payment for the remainder of the semester is due at least 5 days before your next lesson. This payment reserves your time slot.

  • Lessons may be enrolled in and purchased in semester only. Venmo, check, and cash are all accepted.

Semester

  • In order to reserve your time slot, payment is due at least 2 weeks before the first lesson in your new semester. Note: For fall semester enrollment, payment is due at least 1 month before the first lesson in the fall semester.

Holidays

  • Please note that Wildwood has its own holiday break schedule that may differ from school schedules.

  • Lessons are held on most national, regional, and Jewish holidays.

  • If you will be away for a national, regional, or Jewish holiday; school break; or personal vacation, please kindly let your teacher know at least 4 weeks in advance.

Tardiness

  • If a student is late, your teacher is not obligated to extend the lesson, or adjust the price of the lesson.

Cancellations, No-Shows, Rescheduling, And Refunds

  • Please understand that lesson prep is done and time reserved specifically for you by your teacher whether you arrive to your lesson or not. Time slots for No-Show and late cancellation lessons may have been filled by other students in need of time. When this happens, your teacher has still done prep for you, and looses the ability to use that time for another student and/or additional work.

  • Individually purchased first lessons will not be rescheduled or refunded.

  • For lessons in a semester, lessons may be cancelled up until 24hrs before your lesson, and rescheduled for either of the (2) scheduled, make-up Sundays appearing on your Wildwood Calendar.

  • Any cancelled or rescheduled semester lesson not completed during their semester’s (2) scheduled, make-up Sundays will not be refunded or rescheduled.

  • Any cancellations made after 24hrs before your semester lesson will not be refunded or rescheduled. This includes cancellations made due to ongoing, common colds or conflicts with other school or extracurricular activities.

  • All students are considered No-Shows if absent from their lesson without notice. Notice must be given by at least 24hrs prior to your semester lesson. No-Show lessons will not be rescheduled or refunded.

  • A maximum of 2 lessons per semester may be rescheduled. Any additional cancellations will not be refunded or rescheduled.

  • All lessons and reschedules in your semester must occur during the semester for which they were purchased.

  • Purchases for semesters, workshops, or special events will not be refunded once purchased.

  • Due to additional obligations, your teacher may at times need to cancel a lesson. This lesson will be rescheduled.
