Wildwood offers poetry for writers, singers, instrumentalists, and songwriters from ages 6 to adult. We are born with the ability to tune into the world; this is the life-giving, life-affirming act of poetry. Lessons take off from this place, nurturing an intellectual, experimental, and supportive environment.

The study of structured, expressive, and creative sound describes the disciplines of both music and poetry. Using both as jumping-off points, students listen to, read aloud, and write their own poems.

Equal emphasis is put on guided writing, free writing, reading, and listening to poetry. Minis are themed and offer a wide range of poetry: published poems by kids of all ages, adult-written kid's poems, contemporary and canonized poetry.
